A large pile of rubble is all that remains of my favourite chinese supermarket – Thuan Phat. The Globe & Mail has written a great summary of the progression of the blaze. I’m a bit used to running around backstage or behind-the-scenes, so the cops had to eventually shoo me away while I was grabbing shots of the firemen approaching the blaze. I left the scene when a gas main was destroyed by a crumbled wall and the gas masks started coming out.
